The Mistakes You Shouldn't Make

Although the master cleanse lemonade diet gained tremendous popularity over the last 2 years, many didn't realise the danger posed by this diet. Before you jumped in and embarked on a detox and weight loss regime, you should be aware of the danger involving the master cleanse.

Extending The Master Cleanse Regime

The following was extracted from a weight loss forum:

"I'm in the master cleanse for 30 days and I aim to extend it to 35 days. I hope to lose another 10 pounds," said Patricia.

For the sake of your health, you shouldn't. What is the problem with the statement above? Probably you already know that you can lose 2 pounds a day while on master cleanse fast. And that will mean that Patricia can lose 10 pounds just extending the master cleanse lemonade diet by 5 more days.

Logically speaking, what Patricia plans to do make sense. Yet this is an absolute no-no. Why?

If Patricia understood how human metabolism function, she will probably change her mind. Anyone on master cleanse consume roughly 650 calories a day. This is in sharp contrast to the normal calories intake for an adult.

On the average, ladies and men daily calories intake is roughly 1800 and 2400 calories respectively. Even though it is fine to cut down on calories intake for a short period of time, doing so on extended basis results in weight gain instead.

Whether you are new or have tried the master cleanse fast before, you should not go beyond 10 days.

Protein Free Diet

You should also be aware that Stanley Burroughs' master cleanser formula is a protein free diet. I know there is speculation out there claiming that it is fine for human to go without protein. This is not true even though some animal can do without protein for an extended period of time.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), technical report, Protein and Amino Acid Requirements in Human Nutrition, our body can't do without certain essential amino acids.

They include:

  • Threonine
  • Aromatic amino acids
  • Tryptophan
  • Sulfur amino acids
  • Histidine
  • Lysine
  • Leucine
  • Isoleucine and valine

"Master cleanse is a fasting diet. How to add protein to it then?"

That's a good question.

Let me assure you that you can consume a special type of protein while on master cleanse - without interfering with your weight loss and detox regime. It's all explained in the master cleanse lemonade diet course available at No Cost to you.
